Master Bath

So, I haven't posted much of anything about the master bath.  We didn't get any upgrades in here with exception to the jetted tub, dual shower head, and the space itself.  We didn't care for the upgrade options Ryan offered so plan to upgrade ourselves down the road.

This is the Master Bath with Jetted Tub, Dual His/Hers shower heads, & extended bathroom.

 Looking into the bathroom from the bedroom.  There are 2 pot lights that stradle the center of the tub and I wish I had changed it to only one so I could hang a chandilier over the tub.  I do love the windows and all the natural light the bathroom gets.  The tub is huge!

 Roman Shower with His and Hers shower heads.  We had my husbands raised up (he's 6'3 and mine lowered, I'm 5'3)  The shower seat is really nice and the shower is big!

Ryan in Ohio has to aim the lights up which I think is super weird.  We will be rotating them down soon.  I think the 5 lights is a bit of overkill but easily changed.

The keys are ours!

 Dining room with added trim.  This is by far the best upgrade!  Large baseboards, crown moulding, & large door casings make this look and feel really custom. 

 Front entry look up to the second level.

 Textured ceiling (no love for them here but it's what they do here in Ohio).  This is the light you get when you add a light to a room.

 I really like how the carpet and stair railings look together.

 Fireplace with to handsome boys and Bucks County Ledgstone.

 Kitchen with upgraded appliances.  Apparently I can roast a whole chicken in that microwave!

 Here's the sectional I blogged about earlier.  Its huge and we love it!  There is enough room for everyone.

 The carpet is looking pink in these pictures but it's not.  I do however like the carpet on the stairs and upstairs better than this.  I'm regretting it now that I see how much I love the other color.  It's SO HARD choosing all the colors for stuff! You can also see where we had them "chop" off the corner and run wood flooring so there is a nice flow into the kitchen.

My hutch from my previous house looks so small now in this massive kitchen.

Vacation and House is done!

So we left for a 3 week vacation while the house was being finished.  I did not want to be gone during this phase.  We booked the trip before we found out the house was being delayed a month.  I asked our PM to please send me updates and especially photos of the outside BUT, he sent me nothing.  Super disapointing but, I know he's super busy too. 

I had a neighbor take this and send it to me.  I was dying to see what it looked like.  I like it but I'm not in LOVE with it.  It looks much better in person but not as grand as I was hoping for.  The house feels really big, open, and beautiful when you are inside but the outside, hmmm...?  Well, too late now, so I'm not going to dwell on it.  With landscaping and such I'm sure it will get better.

This photo was taken the first day we got back.  They were putting the finishing touches on before we closed.

Flooring Install

The wood floors were installed this past week and from what I can see, they are gorgeous!  We chose the Armstrong hand scraped Brown Bear wood

We also chose to have the wood run from the entry right into the kitchen.  This meant removing a corner of carpeting and placing wood there instead.  Our PM and I agreed upon a good angle for this but the wood floor installers forgot to do it.  SO, they had to come back and fix it.  I haven't seen it yet so I'm hoping it looks good and is what I had envisioned.

Framing

I can't believe how much gets done in a day!  I drive by at least twice a day when I take and pick my kids up from school.  The house is only a minute from the school so it's a easy drive by. It's fun to see the progress.  One day theres nothing and then there's a house...it's crazy fast!

The kids are so excited to see what will be their new home.  They want to go to the house Every Day!  I don't blame them, I'm excited and anxious too.

 Days 2 & 3 first floor framed

 Days 4, 5, & 6.  Second floor and Roof trusses.

 My boys sat in the car for a long time watching the big crane lift the trusses up onto the house.

 By the end of a week / week and a half we were all framed

And so it Begins!

They have finally started our house after being delayed a month!  I feel like we've been waiting and waiting.  We decided to build the beginning of July and are now just getting started.  From previous experience I know it will all move pretty quickly moving forward.
